Student Allergy Policy


In accordance with House Bill 922 and Board Policy 2875, the Wentzville R-IV School District is required to compile an ingredient list of all foods provided to students while at school and/or while at school district. This includes all items purchased outside of the Child Nutrition Department for classroom parties, birthday treats, rewards, and snacks. This will also include all school stores, vending machines, concession stands, and fund raisers.

In an effort to protect students who have allergies, the District requires that all food items brought into the school or school-sponsored activities have the ingredient labels on file with the appropriate school officials.

This does not affect food sent in for an individual child’s lunch or snack. However, the District has a “No Share, No Trading" policy in the cafeteria.
