WSD Students Selected to Attend American Legion Boys State

Twenty one high school juniors from the Wentzville School District have been selected to attend the American Legion Boys State of Missouri.  The American Legion Boys State of Missouri is an eight-day “hands on” experience in the operation and fundamentals of government, and draws together the best and brightest high school juniors to help lead them down the path in individual success and leadership. Since its inception in 1938, Missouri Boys State has provided over 40,000 high school students with the privilege of attending this practical laboratory in citizenship and leadership training.

Those selected to attend from Holt High School are Benjamin Goldstein, Jonathan Henrich, Hunter Jurotich, Cameron Midyett, Nathan Schweiger, Austin Shocklee and Dylan Vermeire. Those selected from Liberty High School include Preecha Eamsaart, Johnathan Gruebbeling, Austyn Kloth, Benjamin Leach, Jonathan Leimbach, Jason Morrison, Colin Stuerman and Noah Willison. Those selected from Timberland High School include Cullen Barr, Quentin Borengasser, Hayden Mills, Brendan Nelson, Alex Thomason and Ryan Willson.

The 78th session of Missouri Boys State will be held on the campus of the University of Central Missouri (UCM) June 17-24. Local sponsors include the American Legion, the Wentzville Community Club, the Wentzville Rotary Club, and the Timberland Boosters Club.
