October 2016 Recognition - WSD Schools Raise $84K for American Heart Association

This evening we are recognizing our top schools that raised money this year for the American Heart Association. Through programs like Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart, our buildings have emphasized the importance of physical activity for our students while collectively raising $83,986 for the American Heart Association. According to the AHA, the WSD helped to potentially save 1,680 lives! For their efforts, the phys ed teachers also earned equipment for their schools collectively worth over $7,200.
