Congratulations to Seniors Brooklyn Pfanstiel, Brandon Willard, Layne Konneman, Ryan Dawson and Kate Bomstad who have earned the Distinguished Student Leader Award from the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC). This honor recognizes students who demonstrate superior student council leadership skills and knowledge based on MASC criteria and evaluation procedures.
Kate Bomstad is the President of Student Council (STUCO) as well as the DECA Communications Officer. She has a 3.6 GPA and plans to study science and nursing (with a minor in business management) at the University of Arkansas.
Ryan Dawson is the Treasurer of STUCO, a member of National Honor Society, the THS Tennis Team and serves as the DECA Vice President. He has a 3.8 GPA and plans to study computer information systems at Missouri State University.
Layne Konneman is the Vice President of STUCO, a member of National Honor Society and has played varsity tennis at THS for three years. He also serves as the DECA Financial Officer and is an Eagle Scout.
Brandon Willard is the Third Vice President of STUCO. He has a 3.94 GPA, is a member of DECA, National Honor Society and the THS Tennis Team. He plans on attending college at the University of Missouri – Columbia, Kentucky University or Ohio State.
Brooklyn Pfanstiel is the Commissioner Vice for STUCO, Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook, National Honor Society Treasurer and a Link Crew Leader. She has a GPA of 4.1 and plans to study advertising and political journalism at St. Louis University.
The students received their awards during the final general session of the MASC State Convention at Mehlville High School on Saturday, March 11th.
